Our course is tailored for youth and is delivered in person at the locations specified in the class schedule below. It comprises five classes held on different nights, covering various aspects of journalism and news consumption. Upon enrollment, students may attend each class on any day that is offered; however, they must complete the five classes in the order listed on the schedule.
After successfully finishing the course, students will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge by becoming journalists for The Rising Gazette. As journalists, students will submit articles for publication. If their work is selected and printed, they will earn a share of the subscription revenue from that edition. More information and detailed instructions on how to engage as a journalist will be provided at the conclusion of the course.
The course is for people younger than 18. We do not have a limit on how young they can be--parents know the skills and abilities of their children, but it is typically geared toward an adolescent audience.
